Our team continues its passion for giving back to our community. In September, we put together sack lunches for the Dallas Salvation Army to welcome Hurricane Harvey victims who were displaced from their homes in Houston. In October, in honor of National Domestic Violence Awareness Month, our team put together care kits for women and children in domestic violence shelters.

IIC Partners welcomed CEO Search in Sofia, Bulgaria as its 45^th member firm in April. We are excited to further expand our global reach in Eastern Europe, an emerging market in the executive search industry.

The Dallas Chapters of Society of Information Management (SIM) and Financial Executives International (FEI) are collaborating again for the Technology Breakfast on Friday, December 11. Renee Arrington (SIM member) is collaborating with Mahesh Shetty (immediate past president of FEI) to plan the event, entitled “Disruption Engines and the Impact on Finance and Technology Leaders.”

The firm is attending our global partners’ meeting in Hong Kong on October 7-9, where Renee Arrington is presenting a case study of how Pearson Partners leverages assessment as an integral part of executive search.

Renee Arrington served on an executive panel discussion on “Strategic Leadership in a World of Accelerated Change” at both the HMG Strategy 2015 Phoenix CIO Executive Leadership Summit on January 15 and the Houston Summit on March 3. CIOs can catch Renee and the same panel discussion at HMG Strategy’s upcoming Dallas Summit on April 9, and in St. Louis on June 18. Renee also served as a mentor this year for the Dallas Business Journal’s mentor program, a program held at the same time by 40 other National City Business Journals across the country.

Sharing her extensive experience gained while living and working abroad, Deborah Sawyer served as a panelist on the Association of Executive Search Consultants’ March 25 BlueSteps webinar, “5 Factors to Consider Before Taking an Expat Position.”

Keith Pearson is a nominee for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Man of the Year, a national title awarded to the top local male fundraiser in each chapter. Candidates in the Man and Woman of the Year competitions take part in honor of children who are local blood cancer survivors. The Man of the Year will be announced at a gala in March, 2015.

Deborah Sawyer has joined the Board of Directors of the Metroplex Technology Business Council (MTBC) and is tri-chair of its Programs Committee. She also served as emcee of an MTBC luncheon in November. The MTBC is the largest technology trade association in Texas, representing a quarter-million employees through 300 member companies.

Stephen Konstans has been named to the board of directors of Executives in Action, a non-profit organization that delivers high-impact, pro bono consulting to other charitable organizations.

Renee Arrington continues her national speaking circuit, most recently at an HMG Strategy summit in November, where she served on an executive panel discussing “Strategic Leadership in a World of Accelerated Change.” She has been invited back to participate in three more HMG summits in 2015. In December, Renee served as a panelist at a joint technology event of the Society for Information Management DFW and Financial Executives International addressing the topic, “The Internet of Things.”

The Dallas Historical Society has awarded Pearson Partners Advisory Board member Robert A. Estrada a 2014 Award for Excellence in Community Service, honoring his generosity of spirit, civic leadership and ability to encourage community-wide participation in city growth.

Our team continues to be as committed to performing at their best outside of the office as they are on the job. Keith Pearson finished third in his bracket in a recent ultrathon, and Renee Arrington and Stephen Konstans have both recently run half-marathons.

Please join us in welcoming the new president and CEO of the Association of Executive Search Consultants, Karen Greenbaum. We look forward to working with Karen as she steers the AESC into an even brighter future. Please also help us bid a fond farewell to Peter Felix, longtime AESC president with whom we have worked for many years. We wish Peter well in his retirement.

Craig Sutton, chief financial officer of Rasa Floors and longtime Pearson Advisory Board member, has joined Pearson Partners’ Board of Directors.

Jill Pearson has joined the advisory board of Shadowmatch USA, a provider of leading behavioral benchmarking systems to support team building, employee development, precise recruiting and talent deployment. The board provides strategic business, management and leadership counsel for the company.

Deborah Sawyer was quoted in a recent Dallas Business Journal article about how the Tech Titans investment catalyst winner, Health Wildcatters, has ignited healthcare innovation.

To gain a better understanding of leadership trends in the global energy sector, Pearson Partners analyzed the education, experience and backgrounds of 277 chief executive officers from the largest publicly traded U.S. and international oil and gas companies. Our white paper, “The Oil and Gas CEO” was published in the September Oil & Gas Financial Journal.

The “Lessons in Leadership” panel discussion featured three prominent women executives sharing their success stories and recommendations for other women executives and CEOs who want to grow their companies, lead effective teams and achieve a highly successful career path.

Stephen Konstans was recently appointed vice president of contributions for the Trinity Christian Academy Alumni Association’s board of directors. He will help raise funds for TCA—the largest private school in Texas—by increasing alumni contributions and supporting the school’s overall mission.

Renee Arrington is chairing the collaborative Society for Information Management / Financial Executives International Technology Breakfast, focusing on “The Internet of Things.” The event will be held Dec. 12 at The University of Texas at Dallas’ Arts & Tech Center.
